 | Fourpoint's Point |
fourpoint writes "
To All Shareholders,
The situation is really simple to understand. I personally saw a great opportunity in merging a US company with productions and assets with a UK company, thus bridging the two continents, giving us access to EU funding, and listing on AIM. We kept fighting to implement this plan, but have been, since October 2003, been fighting with BD and Clement, who were puppets in the hands of Calderbank. I wish I walked away then, but being a stubborn guy with vision, I designed a business plan that brought in Indigo, a distribution company we agreed to buy for 2.5 million pounds in shares of THINK. We also brought in Maverick, talked to Target, brought in Cinegroup of Canada, and Castaway. In addition, we had conversations with Abbey Home Media to merge and bring back all Just Group assets under one roof, together with Four Points. We had hired Solomon Hare to take us public by no later than January 31, 2005 and appointed David Cardwell as a consultant to help launch the company IP's.
What transpired is nothing short of disaster for Four Point and all you shareholders. In one year, Calderbank and BD and Clement conspired to delay the merger until they spend every penny available (5.8 million pounds spent in two year when the company had no management or business). They also conspired with their so called advisors who, again, had a major conflict of interest, to restructure the company so previous accounts are kept under wrap.
Now, they have managed to entangle Four Point assets in this big mess. The reason, Clement sees another window of opportunity to get more money from Think. In fact, Optical Image has made approximately 100,000 pounds since this summer on the Four Point library. Who is helping: David Lawley, who is distributing the library internationally and who has kept all the income in his own pocket. Their intention: Bankrupt the company and keep the library. Very simple.
My being stubborn had led us to force the issue with BD and the old board, the result of which was BD's resignation, together with John Proctor, a very nice person who was a rubber stamp for Clement. But to serve their ego, please Calderbank, and to stall the truth from coming out, they fired me and put Malatesta in charge. She is what you call the ugly and greedy lieutenant who will backstab her mother for being able to say, I am the boss.
None of the people we are currently dealing with have any good intentions for Think. Some of them might think they do, such as TES and John Cotter, but unfortunately they are way out of their league. In my opinion, Cotter is now nothing short of an instrument in the hands of Clement, Calderbank, and Lawley.
In a way, looking at the positive side, I really believe the company has a good shot at establishing ourselves as a major player in the production, IP's, merchandising & Licencing, and distribution business. We sincerely believe we can make things happen both in the US and UK/Europe. The fact that Four Point got entangled in the evil webs of your board members may be fate, and instead of it taking us a few months to implement, I guess we just have to say it took us a year and a half to clean the company.
Again, if the shareholders so decide, we are more than happy to take our assets back and reverse the merger. Otherwise, we are equally happy to take over the company, once and for all, and implement a plan that has a potential to see a great return on everyone's investment.
This is our story. It's the truth. Please either support us in our quest to move the company forward or just let us go. The evil ways of Calderbank, Clement and Lawley to steal our assets are not the wishes of good people like all of you are. We just want everyone to be fair.
Four Point has been honest and transparent from inception. We are therefore moving forward with an EGM that was submitted to the board. We await their next move.
God bless!
Shukri Ghalayini

I can honestly say that I have never known such bad luck in any one company. When I think of all the people who have come and gone like Chris Jones, Nick Underwood etc etc I feel sure now that the Directors didn't want anyone new within the company as they were frightened they would not be able to steal from it left, right and centre!!! I don't mind admiting that my first investment into Just was almost a years salary (yes stupidly) and please dont think I can afford it coz I cant! And then I helped with the rescue package but now in hindsight that was just buying time for those bloody leaches (or so called directors) to drain as much as they could for there own benefit.
I have been keeping up with the updated on Newscreen Media, with hope, that one day the company may jsut come back from the depths but I want to ask you all one question. Given all of those who have come, gone and stolen...... who can we REALLY trust!!! The answer in absolutely knowone!!!! |

Like a fellow poster who put in a year's salary, I, like other innocents, have put in substantial sums on various occasions chasing what appear to be falsehoods. What I want to know is what the bloody Hell Calderbank et al managed to spend £5.8m on????? Yachts? Second, third and fourth homes?? At the end of the day, it is the many of us poor bastards who get stitched by the few of vampirical intent. Surely these people cannot sleep at night. Doesn't the word "conscience" mean anything?
I cannot be the only one who is erecting the gallows for these people. Am I?
Yours very, very irritatedly
